The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime (Mark Haddon)

【Volunteer’s pick - by Ah Yu】This mystery novel won the Whitbread Book Awards for Best Novel and Book of the Year. The story is narrated from the perspective of the autistic 15-year old Christopher as he investigates the suspicious death of his neighbour's poodle. The investigation somehow gets him tangled up in secrets involving his neighbours and family. The novel was adapted into play in 2012, and the production was brought to Hong Kong in 2018 as one of the Hong Kong Arts Festival performances.
